Yangon Region Investment Committee Meeting 3/2026

The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting (3/2026) was held at 13: 00 pm on 13 March 2026 at Yangon Region Investment Committee in Yangon Office and attended by the Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon  Region Government and Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee.

Firstly, the Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon Region Government and Members inspected the product samples displayed by the investors.

Afterwards, the Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon Region Government delivered the opening remarks.

At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee has approved (six) Investments which are wholly myanmar owned and wholly foreign owned businesses in the hotel and tourism sector and manufacturing sector.  They are  hotel services, manufacturing of various kinds of shoes on CMP basis, manufacturing of various kinds of garment on CMP basis , manufacturing of various kinds of plush toy on CMP basis, manufacturing and printing  of various  paper-based packaging materials for 100 % domestic distribution and manufacturing of bra cups under the contract manufacturing processing CMP system for 100% export. These investments are approved with the total capital amount of kyats 4792.326 million (kyats four thousand seven hundred ninety two million and three hundred twenty six thousand only) and USD 9.551 Million (united state dollars nine million five hundred and fifty one thousand only) and 3203 local job opportunities can be created. Moreover, the meeting discussed general issues of 11 companies. Among them, a company that will increase investment amount.

During the 2025–2026 fiscal year, the Yangon Region Investment Committee has approved (fifty-six) Investments which are wholly myanmar owned and wholly foreign owned businesses in the hotel and tourism, manufacturing and services sectors. These investments are approved with the total capital amount of amount of kyats 49,447.218 million  and USD 71.539 Million including investment increase and 39,357 local job opportunities can be created.

Field Inspection by Yangon Region Investment Monitoring Team

Yangon Region Investment Monitoring Team conducted a field inspection on Manufacturing of garment on CMP basis, Manufacturing of modern furniture on CMP basis, Manufacturing and 100% export of value added rubber raw material, Manufacturing and selling of construction materials for 100% local sales and  Manufacturing and printing of various paper-based packaging materials for 100% domestic distribution in Shwe Pyi Thar Township and Hlaing Thar Yar (West) townships in Yangon Region on 6 March 2026. Yangon Region Investment Committee Meeting 2/2026

The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting 2/2026 was held at           07 : 30 am on 24 February 2026 at Yangon Region Investment Committee in Yangon Office and attended by Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee           U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon  Region Government and Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee.

At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee has approved (one) Investment which are wholly foreign owned business in the manufacturing sector. This is production of various types of polyester, synthetic fabrics and lining materials use for the garment industries (100% local sales).

This investment is approved with the total capital amount of USD 3.025 Million and 225 local job opportunities can be created.

Moreover, the meeting discussed general issues of 13 companies. Among them, two companies that will increase investment amount.

Yangon Region Investment Committee Meeting 1/2026

The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting 1/2026 was held at  9 am on 28th January 2026 at Yangon Region Investment Committee and attended by Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon  Region Government and Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee.

          At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee has approved three Investments projects, manufacturing of consumer electrical appliances, manufacturing and marketing of various kinds of diesel engines and manufacturing of various kinds of garment on CMP basis.

These investments are approved with the total capital amount of kyats 9,537.227 million and USD 0.720 Million and 911 local job opportunities can be created.

Moreover, the meeting discussed general issues of 12 companies. Among them, two companies that will increase investment amount.

The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting 12/2025 was held at 09 : 00 am on 30th December 2025 at Yangon Region Investment Committee in Yangon Office and attended by Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon  Region Government and Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee.
At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee had approved (6) Investments which are wholly myanmar owned, wholly foreign owned and Joint venture businesses in the hotel and tourism, manufacturing, and other services sector. They are manufacturing and selling of construction material (100 % local sales), manufacturing, grinding and marketing of rice (90.74% export and 9.26% local sales), production and exporting of value added  farming products (100%) export), separating, sorting, packaging and export of various kinds of recycle metal scraps products (100% export), Assembling, Manufacturing, and Distributing various types of fuel-powered 2- Wheel and 3-Wheel motorcycles using (SKD) system (100% Local Sales)and hotel services.These investments are approved with the total capital amount of kyats 9,564.020 million (kyats nine thousand five hundred sixty four million and twenty thousand only) and USD 4.988 Million (united state dollars four million nine hundred and eighty eight only) and 415 (four hundred and fifteen ) local job opportunities can be created.
Moreover, the meeting discussed general issues of 17 companies. Among them, a company that will increase 430 local job opportunities.
