Process (1)

Download the investment inquiry application at www.dica.gov.mm and submit it to the Yangon Region Investment Committee office and inquire about the information. (Apply only if you wish)

Process (2)

Submittion of apply the Endorsement

  • Complete the investment application form (4-b)
  • Copies of National Identity Cards of all directors (for Myanmar investors
  • Copies of passports of all directors (for Foreign Investors)
  • Financial Evidence (Bank Statement)
  • Imported equipment, machineries and equipment, raw material with HS Code labeled
  • Business location map
  • Land ownership evidence/ documents
  • Application form for Land Use (7-b)
  • If it is a joint veture, joint venture agreement (draft)
  • Service fee 25,000 kyats for form (4-b) application form and 50,000 kyats/- for form (7-b) application form

Process (3)

Facts to be included in the presentation at the meeting

  • Location, Company Name, Type of Business
  • List of Directors (Name, Position)
  • Type of production (product, quantity, type, price), Type of service
  • The amount of capital investment (if the business has taken a loan, the amount of the loan, the amount of the interest rate, the loan repayment plan)
  • Number of employees; Salary (total of domestic, foreign)
  • Samples of products, building drawings (layout plan)
  • Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Safety Plans
  • Environmental and social protection plans
  • Employee welfare plans

Tax exemption and incentives application form (Form 6) must be submitted to the Investment Supervision Division at the DICA headquarters only after obtaining endorsement.

Guidelines to be followed by the investor after receiving the endorsement of the Yangon Region Investment Committee

(1) Contact with the Investment Supervision Division, Directorate of Investment and Company Administration to submit form (6) to apply for tax exemption/incentives.

(2) According to the Environmental Protection Law 2012 for investment business, initial environmental examination (Initial Environmental Examination- IEE) and environmental management plan (Environmental Management Plan – EMP) should be drafted and submitted to the Department of Environmental Protection within a specified period and a copy sent to the Yangon Region Investment Committee office.

(3) According to the Myanmar Investment Law 196, the company must prepare an annual report containing the specified details within (3) months after the end of the financial year in form-11. If the company has a website, soft copy and hard copy must be posted on the company’s website, and the website of the Myanmar Investment Commission and the website of the Yangon Region Investment Committee must be submitted. 

(4) In accordance with the Myanmar Investment Law 197, the company have to complete a business report in Form-10 once every three months and submit it to the Office of the Myanmar Investment Commission and the Yangon Region Investment Committee Office.

(5) When the construction period/preparation period is over, the commencement of business in form-14 have to submit to the Investment Monitoring Division, Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, Myanmar Investment Commission Office and Yangon Region Investment Committee Office.

(6) To apply for the following licenses to the attached departments and to send five (5) copies to the Yangon Region Investment Committee office after obtaining the licenses.
