Yangon Region Investment Committee Meeting 6/2024

The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting 6/2024 was held at 1 : 00 pm on 26th June 2024 at Yangon Region Investment Committee in Yangon Office and attended by Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon Region Government and Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee.

At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee had approved (3) wholly Myanmar Owned investment businesses in Hotel Services Sector and (4) wholly foreign owned Investment businesses in Industrial Sector including Manufacturing of Garments on CMP Basis, Manufacturing of Various Kinds of dolls on CMP Basis, Production, Marketing and Selling of Padding and Quilting for Garment Enterprises (80% Local Sales and 20% Export) and Manufacturing of Various Kinds wearing apparel on CMP Basis.

Those investments are approved with the total capital amount of 4,023.000 MMK Million and USD 4.845 Million and 3,060 local job opportunities can be created. Moreover, in this meeting, discussed about the general issues of the twelve companies.

Yangon Region Investment Monitoring Team conducted a field inspection on the Manufacturing of various kinds of Bags on CMP basis, Manufacturing of various kind of Earphone and Accessories on CMP basis and Rice Milling, Polishing And Production companies under Yangon Region Investment Committee endorsement and Manufacturing of various kinds of Wearing Apparel on CMP basis Companies which are applying a proposal for the endorsement at Shwe Pyi Thar Township, in Yangon Region on 13th June, 2024. The team inspected the commencement of commercial operation, operating condition of businesses, implementing condition of the responsibilities of investors and coordinated the needs of the factory.

The team inspected the commencement of commercial operation, operating condition of businesses, fire prevention and fire insurance conditions and coordinated the needs of the factory.

At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee had approved (1) wholly Myanmar Owned investment and (3) wholly foreign owned Investment businesses in Hotel Services Sector and Industrial Sector including Manufacturing of Bags on CMP Basis, Manufacturing of Garments on CMP Basis, and Manufacturing of Wedding Dresses on CMP Basis.

Those investments are approved with the total capital amount of 1,555.800 MMK Million and USD 3.739 Million and 2,301 local job opportunities can be created. Moreover, in this meeting, discussed about the general issues of the nine companies.

At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee had approved (2) wholly foreign owned  Investment, (1) Wholly Myanmar Citizen Owned investment and (2) joint venture businesses in Industrial Sector including Grinding, Refining and Packaging of Various Kinds of Beans, Sesame and Maze (100% Export), Manufacturing of Paper Bags on CMP Basis, Manufacturing of Garment on CMP Basis, Manufacturing of Wedding Dresses on CMP Basis.

Those investments are approved with the total capital amount of 4,000 MMK Million and USD 4.103 Million and 1,952 local job opportunities can be created.

At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee had approved (1) Wholly Myanmar Citizen Owned investment business in Hotel Service, (3) Wholly Myanmar Citizen Owned investment businesses and (4) Foreign Investment and (2) joint venture businesses in Industrial Sector including Hotel Service, manufacturing and selling of construction materials (PVC Pipes and HDPE Pipes), Manufacturing of Garment on CMP Basis, Marketing and Selling of Energy Drink (100% Local Sales), Manufacturing of Bridal and Accessories on CMP Basis, Manufacturing of all Kinds of watch straps & small leather goods with accessories on CMP basis, Manufacturing of Consumer Items (100% Export) and Manufacturing and Selling of Various Kinds of Plastic Bottle (100% Local Sales). Those investments are approved with the total capital amount of 8,036.659 MMK Million and USD 9.046 Million and 2,843 local job opportunities can be created.

Moreover, in this meeting, discussed about the increase in the capital amount and the general issues of the twelve companies.
