12/2024 Yangon Region Investment Committee Meeting

The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting 12/2024 was held at 11: 00 am on 26th  December 2024 at Yangon Region Investment Committee in Yangon Office and attended by Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon  Region Government and Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee.

At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee had approved (1)  Myanmar citizen investment and (2) foreign Investment businesses in the hotel & tourism sector and manufacturing sector including hotel services, manufacturing of wearing apparel  on CMP basis, Manufacturing of garment on CMP basis.

This investment are approved with the total capital amount of kyat 1,180 million (kyat one thousand one hundred and eighty million) and USD 2.220 Million (united state dollars two million and two hundred twenty  thousand) and 2,440 local job opportunities can be created. 

Moreover, in this meeting, discussed about the general issues of the thirteen companies.

Yangon Region Investment Monitoring Team conducted a field inspection on Manufacturing of Garments on CMP basis , Grinding, Fefining And Packaging of Various Kinds of Beans, Sesame, Maize (100% Export) and Manufacturing of Modern Furniture on CMP basis company under Yangon Region Investment Committee endorsement at Shwe Pyi Thar(West) Township, Htanta Pin  Township and Shwe Pyi Thar Township in Yangon Region on 10th  December, 2024. The team inspected the commencement of commercial operation, operating condition of businesses, implementing condition of the responsibilities of investors and coordinated the needs of the factory.

Yangon Region Investment Monitoring Team conducted a field inspection on Manufacturing of Garments on CMP basis company under Yangon Region Investment Committee endorsement and Manufacturing of various kinds of Wearing Apparel on CMP basis which are applying a proposal for the endorsement at Taikkyi Township and Hmawbi Township in Yangon Region on 3rd December, 2024. The team inspected the commencement of commercial operation, operating condition of businesses, implementing condition of the responsibilities of investors and coordinated the needs of the factory.

The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting 11/2024 was held at 10: 30 am on 26th November 2024 at Yangon Region Investment Committee in Yangon Office and attended by Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon Region Government and Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee. At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee had approved (1) Myanmar citizen investment and (8) foreign Investment businesses in the manufacturing and services sector including manufacturing of wearing apparel on CMP basis, manufacturing and selling of construction material such as NS Grout, AquaCem 100, PatchEase, Gripmate Silver, Putty, Floor Hardener (100% local Sales), manufacturing of wool fiber and yarn on CMP basis, manufacturing of various kinds of hair wig on CMP basis, Manufacturing of garment on CMP basis, paper printing services and manufacturing of various kinds of plastic bags for Local enterprises (100 % local sales).This investment are approved with the total capital amount of kyat 1,500 million (kyat one thousand five hundred million) and USD 7.690 Million (united state dollars seven million and six hundred ninety thousand) and 5,255 local job opportunities can be created. Moreover, in this meeting, discussed about the general issues of the nine companies.

The team inspected the commencement of commercial operation, operating condition of businesses, implementing condition of the responsibilities of investors and coordinated the needs of the factory.

The team inspected the commencement of commercial operation, operating condition of businesses, fire prevention and fire insurance conditions and coordinated the needs of the factory.

The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting 10/2024 was held at 09 : 00am on 23rd October 2024 at Yangon Region Investment Committee in Yangon Office and attended by Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon Region Government and Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee. At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee had approved (2) Myanmar citizen investment and joint venture Investment businesses in the hotel and tourism sector and manufacturing sector including hotel services and Manufacturing of Garments on CMP Basis . This investment are approved with the total capital amount of kyat 860 million (kyat eight hundred and sixty million ) and USD 1.103 Million (united state dollars one million and one hundred three thousand) and 622 local job opportunities can be created. Moreover, in this meeting, discussed about the general issues of the eleven companies.

At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee had approved (1) wholly foreign owned Investment business in manufacturing Sector including Manufacturing of Garments on CMP Basis.

This investment are approved with the total capital amount of USD 1 Million (one million) and 700 local job opportunities can be created. Moreover, in this meeting, discussed about the general issues of the nine companies.

Yangon Region Investment Monitoring Team conducted a field inspection on Warehousing Services And Logistics Services which is carrying out the transfer of share capital and opening of a representative office, including increasing raw materials from manufacturing various kinds of bags, kneepads, elbow pads, and back belts on CMP Basis of Companies under the Yangon Region Investment Committee’s endorsement at Dagon (Seikkan) Township in Yangon Region on 12th September, 2024. The team inspected an operating condition of businesses, implemented the conditions of the responsibilities of investors, and coordinated the needs of the factory.
