Yangon Region Investment Committee (YRIC) is the investment approval agency for investment enterprise according to the Myanmar Investment Law in Yangon Region.
With the aiming at the improvement of business environment thorough development of the national economy in Myanmar, the Myanmar Investment Law is enacted in October 2016 and followed its rules in 2017. According to Chapter VI, section 24(h) of the Myanmar Investment Law, one of the duties of the Myanmar Investment Commission is delegating powers, in coordination with the Nay Pyi Taw Council, Region and State Governments, for investment activities that the Government may approve according to the type of investment activities or the condition of natural resources or creation of employment opportunities for the economic development of the Regions and States including Union Territory. In this regards, Myanmar Investment Commission announced to form the Nay Pyi Taw, Regions and States Investment Committee by enacting the notifications.
